Eastpoint is so named because of its location on the east point of the peninsula where the Apalachicola River empties into the Apalachicola Bay.

There are beautiful bayfront locations in Eastpoint that have a great sunset view across  the bay. Just west of Eastpoint across the bay lies Apalachicola, and south of Eastpoint is the barrier island, St. George Island.
